OSG are delighted to present a series of unseen sporting paintings and sculptures this February. This exhibition includes an exciting collection of works by Argentinian artist, Adriana Zaefferer, from her time with the Wildenstein Gallery in London and New York during the 1980s:

'Like Munnings, whose influence she readily acknowledges, she succeeds in capturing on paper or canvas the individual characteristics of the animals she depicts, their bone structure and musculature, the colour and sheen of their coats, their special carriage or gait. In order to fully comprehend the strengths of the horses she paints and to portray them as the graceful, lithe, yet powerful and exciting creatures they are, she will observe them tirelessly, sometimes for days on end, sketching them both at rest and in motion. ' Guy Wildenstein, 1990

Along with a number of new pieces by artist's such as Frippy Jameson and Nichola Eddery, the OSG is also pleased to present a recent selection of works by the outstanding French artist, Hubert de Watrigant. Watrigant has a produced a series of paintings that represent the colourful spectacle surrounding bull fighting, a subject matter for which he is renowned. These pieces focus on the elegance of the matador, his dress and movement within the arena.
